Competition category guide

"My rider wants to compete but I don't know where they fit!"

Hopfully these Competition category guides will help determine what level you/your rider may be at.

 Scooter

Little Ripper competitors are riders 8 y/o and under who:

  • Just starting to ride ramps/jumps
  • Want to have fun in a competitive environment, but may not be able to create their own runs
  • Will be given Compulsory routines (details coming)

Novice competitors are riders ages 9-11 y/o who:

  • gaining confidence on ramps/jumps
  • Want to have fun in a competitive environment
  • Will be given semi-Compulsory routines (details coming)
  • Are given freedom to add their own style

Beginner competitors should be COMFORTABLE and CONSISTENT with:

  • Almost all ramps
  • Landing "Standard" Tricks (tail whips, double whips, bar spin)
  • Spin tricks (180, 360)
  • Grinding rails/ledges
  • "Banger tricks" could include Bri-flips, kickless', combos

Intermediate competitors should be COMFORTABLE and CONSISTENT with:

  • Over-head tricks (Bri, Inward, Umbrella)
  • Combo tricks
  • Spin Combos
  • Flips, flairs

Street Intermediate competitors should be COMFORTABLE and CONSISTENT with:

  • Grinding Basics on most street features
  • Standard tricks on and off features

Advanced competitors should be COMFORTABLE and CONSISTENT with:

  • Over-head combos
  • Flip combos
  • Spin combos
  • starting Double over-heads
  • Linking "big" tricks in comp runs (Good Park flow)

Open competitors should be:

  • Best of The Best!

Street Open competitors should be:

  • Best of The Best Street Riders
